چکیده
This study is focused on developing an approach for spatial mapping of groundwater by considering four types factors (geological, topographical, hydrological, and climatic factors), using different bivariate statistical models, such as frequency ratio (FR) Shannon’s entropy (SE). The developed was applied in a fractured aquifer basin (Ameln Basin, Western Anti-Atlas, Morocco), to map the variation potential. Fifteen (15) influencing were considered this study, including slope degree, aspect, elevation, topographic wetness index (TWI), length (LS), position (TPI), plane curvature, profile drainage density, lineament distance rivers fault network, normalized difference vegetation (NDVI), lithology, land surface temperature (LST). potential maps produced then classified into five classes illustrate view each class obtained. predictive capacity models determined two methods, first one based use flow data from 49 boreholes drilled area, test statistically calibrate model. results show that percentage positive water points corresponds most productive areas (high flow) (42.86% 30.61% FR SE respectively). On other hand, low flows are consistent with predicted unfavorable hydrogeological prospecting (4.08% model 6.12% model). Additionally, second validation method involves integration 7200 Hz apparent resistivity identify conductive zones circulation zones. interpretation geophysical shows high-potential match zones, therefore promising targets investigation. have proved very efficient at basement area suggest northern southern part specifically major Valley north, Tighmi-Tifermit south) has adequate availability groundwater, whereas central part, covering localities Tarçouat, Boutabi, Tililan, Ighalen, presents scarcity groundwater. trend histogram evolution according potentiality obtained suggests more accurate than predicting areas. proposed important aquifers, resulting can be helpful managers planners generate development plans attenuate consequences future drought.

متن کاملA Simplified Approach for Estimating Soil Carbon and Nitrogen Stocks in Semi-Arid Complex Terrain
We investigated soil carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) distribution and developed a model, using readily available geospatial data, to predict that distribution across a mountainous, semi-arid, watershed in southwestern Idaho (USA). Soil core samples were collected and analyzed from 133 locations at 6 depths (n=798), revealing that aspect dramatically influences the distribution of C and N, with nort...

This work describes a knowledge-guided clustering approach for mineral potential mapping (MPM), by which the optimum number of clusters is derived form a knowledge-driven methodology through a concentration-area (C-A) multifractal analysis. To implement the proposed approach, a case study at the North Narbaghi region in the Saveh, Markazi province of Iran, was investigated to discover porphyry ...
متن کاملEvaluation of meteorological, hydrological and groundwater resources indicators for drought monitoring and forecasting in a semi-arid climate
Drought as a natural phenomenon characterized by a significant decrease of water availability during a period of time and over a large area. In recent years, droughts and its frequent in arid and semi-arid regions like Iran on the one hand, and water demand has been rising on the other hand and, as a result, their impacts are being aggravated. Therefore, the meteorological and hydrological...
